Matt Jordan grew up around tattooing and knew early on that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. After earning an apprenticeship at 18, he developed a strong reputation for his realistic black-and-grey work, winning numerous awards and traveling internationally to tattoo alongside top artists.
He founded Ship Shape Tattoo in Auckland, now a well-known studio with a team of 10 artists. Later, he opened Studio Takitimu, New Zealand’s only all-inclusive tattoo experience. Matt now divides his time between both studios while enjoying family life, fishing, cooking, and working on classic cars.
